Why sanitize a HAR file?
HAR files can contain more than performance data. Depending on the captured session, they may include cookies, authorization tokens, request bodies, private query parameters and response content. Removing these fields reduces the risk of sharing credentials or personal information with support teams or third parties.
What this sanitizer removes
The tool can strip cookies, authentication-related headers, URL query strings, POST data, embedded response content and common security-token headers. Sanitization creates a new copy; it does not overwrite your original HAR file.
Local processing
The file is parsed and modified in your browser. No upload is required. Even after sanitizing, manually review a HAR before sharing it because applications may use custom headers or fields that an automatic sanitizer cannot identify.
